@gymbliss95 Yes the view count does still go up! Once we approve it, your video will show up as a video response. Until then it acts like a normal video on YouTube and can be viewed as such.

If I started now and submitted a video that was outrageously better than everyone else's hypothetically but it didn't get enough views because I submitted it late due to just having found out about the contest, could it still advance? This is hypothetical of course. I mean honestly, I think there should be some screening involved. If view count is all it takes, why couldn't someone make something in 5 minutes and just keep watching it a bunch of times?

@ThePruductions Thanks for your question! We actually thought about this before the contest and we can understand your concern. However, if you have a great video, even if you submit it late, there is a very good chance you will end up in the top ten! The goal is to spread your video to as many family and friends as possible. Also, as "ILoveSimeks" stated, YouTube only counts one view, per day, per computer. I hope that answers your question and good luck!

@SimeksFood I have to agree with him that it is rather unfair. My video has frozen at 309 views and I do not know that many people. I only had 2 days to try and get the word out.

my view count has been frozen since Friday. Now that the end is here can you somehow get the correct number of views for the commercial from youtube?

i love the idea of a commercial scholarship, however i dont really like how it is decided. this seems unfair for those of us who didnt find out about the scholarship contest until only a few weeks before it ended. i could understand this thnking if there were hundrreds of entries. however, there are only about 60 entries. thats only about a half hour to watch every commercial. no offense, but why should someone with a great idea not be in the running simply because they found out too late?
