This temple, built by Ramesses III, was once large enough to house the entire population of ancient Thebes during wartime. Unlike most temples of its era, it has a partial ceiling and enormous columns still clinging to their original paint. This clip was taken inside a side chamber, which consisted of a narrow square corridor. The exquisite relief carvings that spanned the entire height of the walls on both sides, were lit by carefully placed slots in the still-intact ceiling.
