wowblog: Why do girls play healing classes?

I was asked why female gamers play healing oriented classes over other types of classes. Is this a wrong misconception or is there a logical answer?

Well in my opinion;

I'm a girl and I play healer / DPS / Tank , I play them all , but I guess why girls do play healing classes is because a girl likes to hold the group up or so just like the house wife holds up the family ( something like that ) , and she likes being the savior of the day, Good question even I can't answer it even though im a girl and I play healer as main O_O! ( i guess i like to heal ?)

2 Girls in the guild i'm in completely hate playing Healing classes, they prefer to play their hunters.

On my server, i find most girls (Who actually are female) Prefer to play rogues or hunters.

I'm a girl and I refuse to play any healing class. Just too boring and it's a lame stereotype. I either DPS or tank. I have an 85 rogue, ret pally, spriest, frost mage and ench shammy.
