Sampling is essential to DJing, which is in turn a constituent of the hiphop culture. So yeah, hip-hop is sampling. I think this is pretty creative considering the twists and remixing, compared to some guys who just play 1 bar or beat on loop

Okay that part is done great, thank you. But I wanna give you an example of a masterpiece sampling. You can find on youtube the video of making of Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" tune done by Jim Pavloff and discover the sampling genius of Liam Howlett.

Fair enough. Honestly though this song isn't sampled from black sabbath...it is from mojo men "shes my baby".

if you listen to this i think u could appreciate his creative process (at least I think so)

Samples from Kanye West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" Album (on youtube)

I'm not against sampling/ripping off at all and I know good examples of that thing but to me Kanye's sampling sounds more like stealing. I mean musicians sample but they make a completely new song with their own melody, when Kanye just took Sabbath melody and aading his arrangements. I don't find it creative at all.

No. Kanye has sampled from his first album. In fact, hip hop/rap whatever you wanna call it is based on sampling. That is what is. And if you say "his awful rapping" why does it make a difference if he sampled or it is an original beat? Isn't his rapping the problem? A lot of artists in rap, music, movies take something that was good before and make it better or their own. As said before, a lot of rock musicians "ripped/sampled" whatever you wanna call it from earlier genres.

I used to listen to that album before I realised the secret of Kanye's success I had written about down here lately. Yesterday I was reading some cool stuff about Black Sabbath and found out that Kanye sampled that 'Iron Man' tune. I knew 'Iron Man' for a long time but didn't realise that both songs have the same melody. So I came here to check it once again and amaze myself. I was reading comments while listening and decided to reply to Marc Bautista, so that's why I am here. Everything clear?
