I get Homesick alot. I grew up in a tiny village called Mortehoe. Its in North Devon, Dartmoor, UK. These are pictures I found of my Hometown and the other villages surrounding where I grew up. Woolacombe, Barnstable, Mullacott and the town Illfracombe. Alot of good memories.

Music: Enya - Sail away (Orinoco flow)
Various images of Devon from random places.

  • @WorldWideLighthouses All three of those lighthouses you mentioned are my favorites; now excepting Pendeen; as it is now closed to the public!

  • @Umpqua1012 To be honest, you cant really judge these places - they don't look how you'd imagine them when you are there! I don't think its a popular enough tourist destination to warrant the use of the diaphones, whilst the horns at more popular places like Lizard and Pendeen are out of use.

  • @WorldWideLighthouses But I have seen pictures of Mortehoe; and Bull Point lighthouse is the best thing to see there! It would be better if those ruddy Diaphones worked!

  • @Umpqua1012 ...but you've never been there...and its a very tiny place.

  • My favorite place in Mortehoe is Bull Point lighthouse!

  • i used to live around there now i am in Australia.. this is making me home sick too :/

  • take a look at my site tour-devon,com and you will see a lot more of the area - hope it doesn't make you more homesick

  • i lived and worked in woolacombe for a number of years. i especially loved a little restaurant in morthoe that served the best gigantic garlic mushrooms ever. nice pics. x

  • Great pics. My friend lives in Mortehoe hope to visit it one day. Alas I live in NZ too and Mortehoe is a long way away. Guess I will have to be content with what I have,

  • great clips ,it was the best thing i ever did was to move to north devon .
