I just wanted to say thank you! I followed this video before to get Arch running on my desktop machine, and it worked beautifully. I'm more of a I need to see the commands in action type of person and I thought your video was extremely helpful.

This is the video that helped me installing Arch Linux for the first time.
Now I ditched Ubuntu away and I use Arch Linux only (or Parabola GNU/Linux when possible).
Thank you.

I realize this is from 2 years ago, but I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I have followed this video perfectly, but when I type ifconfig I get command not found. I also cannot ping anything. I have checked my network config in vb and I even restarted my router to see if t would work. If there are any more videos describing similar issued let me know.

This could have saved me about 7 hours.
Dayum. Thanks.
not to be a total troll but some of the commands in this video no longer i think this series should be updated, corrected or taken down all together because i have to reboot to get back to windows to find out if i just wrote down instructions wrong or if my computer just sucks took me a while to figure out a couple of commands like ifconfig no longer work

@z0m1313x50ld13r You're absolutely right. Some of the data in this series is still valid, but a lot of it has become dated. I added an annotation to the video for now.

How i can install Skype on Arch.
decagonoful 7 months ago
@decagonoful if you're on 32-bit, it should be in the core repositories. If you're on 64-bit, it's in the multilib repository. you'd have to go into the /etc/pacman.conf and uncomment the [multilib] repo lines.

@Ograws lol, a bit. I think I mentioned somewhere that I had recorded it 3-4 times, but had issues with audio sync I think.
