there was no scba on and a couple of them werent wearing their helmets -- I know the winston salem guys would of got a new asshole tore into them if they went into a fire prepared like these guys did

@richeykw I'm not a firefighter, I don't know any firefighters and I don't know any of the particulars of firefighter training but even a regular guy like me recognized all of that from watching the vid... seemed really unorganized and somewhat careless. How can a group of 'professionally' trained firefighters perform like this?

how does the guy standing in front of the door or the guy that walks by the door as it is closing not see it closing

@Minnesotacrazy44 per the USFA: The leading nature of fatal injuries to firefighters is heart attack (44 percent) ;Since 1984, MVCs have accounted for between 20 and 25 percent of firefighter fatalities annually. Of course there will be incidents resulting in LODDs but on the average day a firefighter dying in a fire isn't as common as it once was, and cardiac problems and mvcs account for a majority of LODDs as opposed to dying due to burns or smoke inhalation and so on

i see the no helmet, no scba as well. nothing to block the door open. Power not shut off. Saw a couple ff's go in one at a time without a partner. What happened to two in-two out...and where is the RIT team?

@sherpa285 Agreed. Cut an opening in the door or cut the garage door down. That way you dont have to worry about the vice grips failing due to heat, someone or something moving the pike pole or ladder, etc.

The lesson is: Once the overhead door is opened, block the track. With vise-grips, a pike pole, an A-frame ladder you find in the garage, etc.

@tom79g they were just real lucky it didn't turn fatal, and most fire depts would have never let a scene develop like this in the first place. a great video to show the guys what not to do:)
