Virtual Waltz how to dance across time

A short film made with people of Gateshead. Dance steps were put outside the old town hall, then people invitied individually to go through the steps forwards and backwards. The individuals were then superimposed with each other to give the apperance that they are couple dancing rather than individuals. At no time does anyone in real life dance with anyone. Therefore making I hope a virtual waltz

This was very creative!

It shows how differently people move, even with something as highly structured as a waltz.

I just finished an 8 week class in Shaolin Kenpo (Japanese version of Kung Fu) and once I started thinking about -

Where does my right foot go after this kick? Which hand is forward? Instead of grabbing his shoulder, could I give him an elbow strike to the nose?

I realize how much we DON'T think about how we move around each day.

As I watched, I noticed times when, if one were not paying close careful attention, one might not even discern the on layer upon another. Other times you cold easily tell. It worked best when each person was well lit up by the sun light. But I can one day foresee where we will not be able to tell the difference. Then we are in real trouble. There needs to be a carefully drawn and protect boundary between reality and illlusion. But that genie will not go back in the bottle now.
