that's your opinion... but you've got to remember we're dealing with two different castlevania games here, SOTN is what we now call MetroidVania, and SCIV is the old style, love or hate one or the other, it's still Castlevania

ya but you have to beat the game a alucard first to unlock it

beat the game in both castles?

yes, you have to beat the game with Alucard once, and then after you have a completed file type in "Richter" on the name entry screen to play as him. It plays up until the fight with Shaft in the inverted castle....

but let me tell you....it really ups the difficulty in SotN when you play with him

(in the PSP and SS version you can play as Maria also)

no just the main castle as alucard

I never got why they used bloody tears in so many castelvania games, it was used atleast five times don't get me wrong i love the song but can't konami come up with new music not just the same one with a newer sound

its like mario or zelda. atleast some form of the music from the previous games is usually carried over. with konami its bloody tears.
