http://www.poolplayers.com - Dr. Cue Pool Lesson 4: The Closed Bridge - As a player becomes more adept at english control and hand adjustments for holding the cue, the "closed bridge" should be considered. This support tool will allow for flexibility to draw better and increase speed with more accuracy. Most players at higher skill levels use this bridge.

  • This might be a silly and vague question, but... If I find that my hand/cue is too sticky (happens with v bridge as well) to pull off a comfortable smooth stroke, does it mean I should put a glove on, or that my technique is all wrong? I actually like the frictionless feeling of the glove, but as a beginner, it believe it's a bit of a double-edged sword when it comes to accuracy.

  • @crackettt I would recommend you use a glove or the white hand chalk.

  • Very true.

Hey kids! - The good Dr. Cue was kidding. Don't use super glue on your fingers.

  • when is a closed bridge used. i am hard of hearing and i never heard it in that video so if it is in there please forgive me.

  • @crackettt just rub a little chalk on your hand where your stick lays

  • @1111111dave im confused....super glue doesn't rip skin..... unless the world has shitty girl skin then i dont know because i used to have crazy glue on my finger ofr project and i'd rip them bitches apart everytime.... after hearing the MYTH.... that's all it is.. its not very dangerous... jumping out of a play ins "very dangerous" don't get your words mixed up... we're not playing with guns here. just crazy glue... it's not that big of a deal

  • @1111111dave Only in the US are people stupid enough to actually follow an advice like that...

  • i been shooting pool since i was 16. but i use a different technique.. i prop all my fingers up on the table and i slide the stick against my thumb and its the same...as long as u have white powder you should be good no matter how u shoot

  • @1111111dave So what? if the kids are stupid enough to do that, they deserve to get their fingers cut off and some more. its really that simple.

  • @1111111dave actually super glue doesn't adhere for a long enough time on skin to cause any alarm...
