  • Wait a minute! - look at that key definition of "Charter" at the very beginning, 0:12 - 0:20 seconds

It's made up - no online definitions of "charter" includes the words "principles" or "beliefs," and neither do the definitions of "privileges" -

The whole argument is based on a misrepresentation of the key word in the video!

Both documents are essential and key to understanding our nation and the missions our founders had for it.

But the idea that the DoI defines our purpose is incorrect.

  • Wow! How confused can you be?

The DoI was a political tract promoting the independence of the colonies from England.

We won the war of independence, then "we" formed a confederation of states as "Agreed to by Congress November 15, 1777; ratified and in force, March 1, 1781"

That failed, and we then formed the United States of America through the "United States Constitution," written in 1787, ratified in 1789

The Preamble to the Constitution is the "charter" statement of purpose.

  • Fascinating incite into how our Constitution works.

Thank you very much for sharing.
