Well no actually im gona have to correct you on that one bobo, in a first-person shooter you have 3 senses, you have vision, sound and MOVEMENT!!

Also yep, she was a hippy stoner chick. A lot of people got annoyed at her but I liked the fact that she was just as dysfunctional as the other lieutenants.

@bobomcgraw I don't have any experience with playing by group chat. I do think Skype works well. Brilliant for people not in the same place, obviously.

I think as long as all were patient, especially the experienced player, it would have been fine. Hope you don't give up on the idea of playing D&D. Some of the annoyances you mentioned in this post are not evident in a tabletop game. It's all imagination a go-go. With that, anything goes.

@23penguins32 I think we were planning on an instant messaging thing, like some sort of group chat or something.

I think only three people, including the GM, expressed any interest.

That would have been alright if only that two of us were newbs.

We would have needed maybe two more experienced players to induct us into the game.
