  • Whats up with English people and their love for vanpires...GO REPOMAN!!!YEAH!!

  • If you wanna hear his real accent then just watch "All star Mr and Mrs" He is epic on that show. His partner is funny as well. Plus he has a Tin Tin mug.

  • i just Squeed and I feel quite embarrassed. I've only been watching the first 20 seconds!

  • For some reason the intro really cracks me up. It's like they couldn't just have him presenting they had to have a slightly fictional story of a simple actor going on a quest for knowledge which may have scary consequences. Even his later line "can I have some popcorn?" is delivered with a certain gravitas.

  • Judging by the Romanian story this should have been called True Horror: Crazy Old People.

  • ASH is so hot - sexy and intelligent

Bram Stoker was born and raised in Ireland during the famine, w/ lotsof death and graveyards around him. he was a sickly kid, in bed a lot, and his mom entertained him by telling him Irish ghost and vampire bedtime stories - no wonder he was prone to nightmares!

  • he's such a seat wetter<3 i love him so much...his searing eyes<3

  • @FantasmaLuna Another origin of vampire folktales was missed out in this documentary: porphyria. It's an inherited blood disorder, missing certain enzymes so porphyrins accumulate in the liver or skin. When in the skin they make it purpley & too sensitive to sunlight!

I once read about this in New Scientist; it was common among European royalty/aristocracy. Garlic was a problem for sufferers. Some thought taking blood from the young & healthy (virgins - not diseased) was good treatment.

  • @SmokieRSWC "I've never heard his true voice before.." Actually he's sort of acting here as well. He's done masses of voice over/documentary stuff (even a lot of Doctor Who Confidential narrating) and this is his semi-posh voice - he's reading a script someone else wrote here.

When he speaks as himself, such as in interviews, he really sounds more like Spike (James Marsters says he based Spike's accent on how Tony Head really speaks - didn't surprise me)

  • Giles working~~~ LOL
