This is a small video of me soloing on Red Clay about two years ago. It is with one of the local bands I used to play with, Semitone.

  • Were you using the pentatonic?

  • I was to an extent, but I was using a lot of other scales such as C aeolian and harmomic minor. But you have to use the right scales at the right time otherwise you'll have some nasty clashes going on.

  • Thanks very much for the comments... I'm going to have look for the full file of this tune, not sure where it is at the mo

  • @eddywhitemusic oh yeah, you can hear those major 7ths in there... i use a fair amount of decending chromatic runs when i play this, great for building up speed without having to cover but so much ground :)....by the way, sounds great, very laid back i thought

  • Repesenting some of the best Jazz I have ever heard. These great guys rock! When can you appear in Orlando?

  • that was sweet!
