  • they're both karate fighters.

  • @ravingdave900 Much respect for that comment my brother it does get annoying when you see idiots stateing nonsensical comments about their styles, and military/police guys kick the crap out of most men on earth because they are not bound to a style, i ocassionally train with a guy who trains law enforcement in pittsburgh and i relise my limitaitions every time i train with him

  • @ravingdave900 Every ones entitled to his/ her opinion personally karate has never impressed me as a street fighting style, to many high kicks and low stances intraditional styles. Secondly please do not group wc in with those imbislick closed off chinese systems that claim to have mastered some five thousand year old move that can be yours for 19.95 most wing chun that ive encountered and the school i train in pride themselves in training with relisim in mind

  • @ROOTSOFCOMBAT2 also everyone defends their own style which is natural. im not defending any style i think they all have bad points. but i do like the military/law enforcement style training cos these guys are in dangerous situations as part of their jobs so they gotta cut the bullshit and learn real effective tactics.

  • @ROOTSOFCOMBAT2 well i dont really care but the way i see it is that boxing teaches the best kinds of punching, kicks seem solid from muay thai and karate guys, and also these guys are really well conditioned. but nothing i ever see from wing chun or other closed off traditional styles ever impresses me. and the way people talk about it as if a fight is an exact science you can master is real bs aswell. no amount of training can make you invincible on the street.

  • @ravingdave900 why.are.you.so.condisending??

  • @ROOTSOFCOMBAT2 Its sounds like you are describeing a mcdojo to me MCdojo:a martial arts acdemy that prides themselves on training unrealistic techniqes with little regard for their students health or safety. In a good wing chun school your teacher will tell you the ups and downs of the style every style including boxing has them. If they say they dont they are lying

  • @ravingdave900 You obviously do not have any knowledge of martial arts, when a martial art stops being effective it dies out or changes form into something that no one claims is for fighting like tai chi or iaido, secondly where did you train that wing chun guys are training unrealistic techiniques and falling all over each other. Most modern wing chun schools pride themselves on not training complicated techniqes if the movement is complex its not wing chun. continued in nextpost

  • What is Wing Chun that Please Do not insult Yongchun

  • @banty007ukuk i may not have an extensive knowledge of martial arts but i do know that what they teach is not reality. ive experienced classes where ppl are falling over with minimal contact and it gives the practitioner a false sense of empowerment. and in wing chun they havent yet embraced western style boxing which is now widely considered the most effective way to cause damage with the fist. so i know enough to know that martial arts are full of shit.
