  • What happened to her did she die or something. The other three band members were still alive in a documentary I saw.

  • @MrBooojangles She died in 1974, there is only one original member of Mama's & Papa's alive today which is Michelle Philips. John died in 2001 and Denny in 2007.

  • Great, Classic, Dez Sanderson, Youtube

  • @Taopuppy well susan boyle is not really like her, because cass elliot 'was not even looking bad. she had a cute face in my opinion. just a bit overweight.

  • @Taopuppy I would listen to Susan Boyle is she were to sing new songs even if she didn't write them.

  • @landrykkb I know what you mean. Her daughter has stated catagorically that her mother would not have been eating a ham sandwich in the first place because she was Jewish and kept kosher. It's sad to think though that if she were to try to become a singer today, everyone would ignore her voice and tell her to get to a size "0" or she would never have a chance. She was the Susan Boyle of her day, or rather Susan is the Cass Elliot of ours.

  • Such a beautiful song.

  • Cass Elliot and Keith Moon both died in the same London apartment 4 years apart.

  • blame it on the ham sandwich

  • @homobohemicus Of course,I could go on and on with the likes of Hank Williams,Jim Morrison,Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, among others, who died prematurely before they had much more yet to accomplish.

  • @landrykkb Yes.. agreed.. so many great people are taken away before their time... its always a privilege to hear her songs even today....
