There was no genocide! in 1915 Ottomans did force the armenians to leave Anatolia, because they beterayed ottomans for taking side of ottoman enemies! During this removal preocess some of armenians died from the hunger or cold, and some of them killed by local populations since they were angry for the things armenians did to them!

Overal this is not a genocide, and real genocide what armenians did in Hocali killing hunderets of innocent people!

The Turks killed my great grandma in 1915. They passed her through a gate she had her children huddled under her. They tried to convert her to muslim faith. She refused and died a Christian. Her neck was cut off. My grandpa who was then 10 couldn't bury his mother because he was too stricken by her loss. His sister 7 and her little brother 5 old dug a shallow grave. Her name was Muna. She was a Syrian Orthodox. My grandfather shed tears for her until his death at 84 years old. Armen Gen is real!

It's true that, for the most part, Armenians didn't fight back. Most Armenians in Turkey were loyal to the sultan and to the Ottoman Empire. That's why when Armenian soldiers were pulled off the front and told to turn over their weapons, they did so without complaint. When they were herded off for slaughter, they were defenseless.

I do not deny that Marxists were responsible for instigating the genocide. But there were very few of them, and it was Turks and Kurds that did most of the killing.

@ArmeniansTerrorGover Yes there was a genocide. My grandfather's parents were killed in it. My grandmother's father was killed too, because he tried to stop three big burly Turks from raping an Armenian girl. He was a policeman for the Turks, and they cut his stomach open for it.

The reason we know of it is because the Turks killed only the males, and tended to leave kids alive to starve to death. As for the Kurds, they killed everyone - cutting children open to check for swallowed gold.

@kadirnedim If you consider being called "gavurs," and not being considered fully human living "like brothers", then yes I guess you're right. Prior to the Young Turk revolt, Armenians were mostly treated like animals due to their faith (especially in the countryside. They were not allowed to carry arms, and strict restrictions were placed on daily life. But some were fortunate to build strong businesses that helped buoy the overall Turkish economy. These successes were seeds of resentment.
