Ziyarat Al-Waritha: Salutation to Hussain

A salutation to the third of the twelve Divinely appointed leaders, Imam Hussain .

Hussain, members of his family and his companions were brutally massacred by a tyrant who took the reign of the Islamic Caliphate. The womenfolk were paraded across towns and cities; the tyrant's show of 'victory'.

Hussain led his small caravan consisting of family and friends; and stood against the oppressive regime of his time in a bid to bring about social reform.

Muslims across the world, predominantly Shi'ites, hold regular mourning ceremonies to remember the tragedy of Hussain and learn from his righteous stand.
