I was a Gleek first discovered Darren there, and because him i started to get into Starkid and now i am a huge starkid fan as well... I think some people think that if you discovered Darren through Glee, you can't be a starkid fan.... thats not the case (:

I went to see Dan Radcliffe last May, and that was an incredible experience.

However, Dan had immense success before that. Before Glee, I knew that Darren would be successful, and to see him doing so well in all these projects and stuff makes me so proud. It's like seeing a good friend you knew in school doing well in life because you know they deserve it.

@sinatrabooth89 I agree that the audio of this video makes his voice sound weak but I don't think that's what it sounded like live. Also the audio made his voice sound a little flat from catching vibrato. Even the chorus sounds weak in this video.

@katiroxursox Well he had two weeks, that is what everyone has when they are taking over for a role on Broadway. That is what Jonas had, that is what Stamos had when he took over after Broderick, it is standard for Broadway. And he knew he was going to be doing the show back last summer, so he had the time with the music and libretto to study on his own. So being out of tune, not having Broadway strength behind his voice, dropping lines, having blocking problems can't be excused.

The thing is that the character J. Pierpont Finch is a goofy, weird and very clueless. I thought that Dan portrayed perfectly. now my issue is not that Darren is a bad actor but that he is to suave for the role. Dan is a smooth guy if you had to describe him in one word it wouldn't be weird, nor goofy nor clueless. He doesn't naturally fit it the description. I love Dan and Darren but Dan is more of that goofy awkward guy. If you saw the movie Robert Morse he was perfect, as awkward as can be.

I don't get why? Everyone is slamming Darren's version. Of the song. Anyways: Well I know everyone would go with the orginal Daniel Radcliffe, and that no one could replace them. But Darren criss could be the next. Daniel Radcliffe on broadway. And having his acting, career would actually help him out. I was and still is one of those people. I dreamed myself, of becoming a actress, and I started out in school musicals. And did numerous dance recitals. At the age of 5.

I don't know why people are upset with Darren Criss's rendition of this song. I think he did amazingly for not having very much time to prep. Besides, he has always been mega talented. Anyone who thinks otherwise should go on Starkid's Youtube page and listen to all of the wonderful music HE wrote

I think Darren was already on Glee by the time I started watching AVMP, but I watched AVMP before I got in to Glee...

Anyway, congratulations, Darren! Great job!
