Departure from Cootamundra shows the train passing underneath the now-removed signal gantry at Cootamundra North Signal Box, then looking out towards Cootamundra West station and the line to Stockinbingal and beyond.
On approach to Harden, a Down XPT passes, then seconds later, Exeter flashes by. Departure from Moss Vale and through the rail yards is recorded and, after a brief interval, the camera continues recording the scenery through Burradoo and up until the Gib Tunnel at Bowral.
The train drops downhill into Picton, where the camera position is quickly changed to record the passing of the RTM's Heritage Train of Pullman Cars, headed by steam locomotive 3526.
The final scene is of the incomplete concrete railway viaduct over the Nepean River at Maldon.
