Well, not everyone is happy with the way the Dune prequels and sequels turned out, so here's a video tribute to everyone's favorite author... Kevin J. Anderson!

Dedicated to the JACURUTU. (www.jacurutu.com)

No longer features the song "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls; it has been changed to Mozart's "A Little Night Music" because WMG may have had a problem with my original music choice

  • Frank did write other novels. You don't have to read the prequels. I don't.

  • @RadagastertheBrown True, but Frank's other novels are actually good. All KJA and Brain Herbert are doing is milking/tarnishing the Dune legacy; I have a problem with that.

Also, they haven't just written prequels. They have inquels and sequels that prove that they didn't understand what Frank built in the Dune series.

  • I really wish that someone with talent would had continued the Dune novels instead of him.

  • @Ebareebaveebeedee You're certainly not alone in thinking that. It actually hurts seeing what KJA and BH have turned Dune into.

  • Please tell where I can find those awesomely accurate motivational posters ! :-) BTW, nice vid. ;-)

  • @ZemplinTemplar Thanks! The posters are from a "Dune Demotivators" thread at the Jacurutu website.

  • KJA is the best writer to ever live.

  • Hell...Kevin could have written the extra Dunes WITHOUT Brian's involvement. I think he truly wanted to give honor to that universe by involving Brian.

And I thought the Butlerian trilogy was fantastic - perhaps because it mostly took place OFF of Dune, there was far more room for artistic license...than the House series and conclusion to "Dune 7".

  • @Tleszer

I wish that someone more skilled like Matthew Stover would be handling the franchise.

  • hes my teacher >.<
