  • Doors on both sides?!?!?! BRT???

  • @NovaBUSFan Yep. In the downtown area there are center platforms where riders board on the driver's side.

  • How could you tell NABI and New Flyer BRTs apart? What are the similarities and what are the differences?

  • @jfs1988 NABI 60-BRT has a more rounded appearance to the windshield and the front door is a single piece pop-out unit instead of the standard slide-glide doors on the New Flyers. (and most transit buses) The back ends also look different. The NABI brts will have wider slats. I can't post links but you can visit the New flyer website and the North American Bus Ind. website and compare the brt models for each. Visual comparison is probably the best way to learn the differences.

  • Most of the 6400's maybe parked over at Triskett, because they repainted some of

them with the current livery and they ran a few of them on the # 83 on weekends.

I did not see them at Woodhill, they have mostly 99's,21's and the Orion uints in

the staging area you can see them from the street.

  • @805219 Thanks! I was wondering since i've seen short low floors like the 6400's being used for paratransit in other cities.

  • These buses have the Cummins ISL engine...not the Cat C9.

  • @805219 Really? Do you think they still run thoses repainted buses that run on the 83 on the weekends?

  • @TheTransitCamera

    Interesting...

  • the main difference between this and the LF version is that this bus is actually nicer looking and a bit longer and the same engine but revs a bit slowly and has a more BOOMING sound

  • @utterbullspit it-really-depends-on-the-driver
