The funny thing about this was that the Welshman was sent off!!!.....not Shelford. Shelford would have been suspended these days. I prefered the old days..........................

Huw didn't start it...Gary Whetton elbowed Huw Richards in the face twice in the maull, just before the first clear punches were thrown from Huw. If you watch closely, it's able to be seen in the 7th & 8th seconds of the clip..., thats why he lashed out & punched Whetton.

How tough are those AB's? Somehow the current lot don't compare despite being a great team. This reminds me of the good old days in New Zealand.

Yes its true to an extent. It was ripped from some rather effective rucking in the test match vs France at Nantes 1986. France played like men possessed and won 16-3. The score didn't really reflect the dominance of the French team that day.
