These neo-pagans have largely made up their own rituals, despite their claims of ancient provenance. Nothing wrong with that, just don't be decieved that it has anything to do with Shaminism as it was practiced in ancient times, or in fact as it is practiced in tribal cultures today. To the extent that this gives people pleasure I am not against it; to the extent that it is a delusion I find it sad.
