Smallest, Lightest GPS Unit in the World! If you love technology and just have to own the latest and greatest, here's the watch -- or rather, wrist-top computer -- for you. This unit combines GPS functionality with an altimeter, barometer, compass, and thermometer, and yes, it also tells time! Its usability in any environment makes this a perfect instrument for outdoor professionals and serious enthusiasts. With the X9 you can preplan and save your route, direct your way en route, display speed, distance, remaining distance and ETA. It will record your tracks so you can always find your way back. Store locations of interest ahead of time, or as you come upon them along the way. Use the included software and your computer to analyze data, plot routes and waypoints, import scanned paper maps, follow weather trends and more. After the trek, play an animated version on the computer screen for analysis, attach video clips, or share your adventure with other enthusiasts. So much more -- an amazing feat of technology!

  • Took it hiking in the Adirondacks. Trees block the signal. Not reliable in that way.

  • Pretty much everything I've ever read from any user of this product has complained about the GPS sensitivity. You can expect to lose some performance in the drive to make this thing far smaller than (far) better performing handheld cousins like the Garmin 60CSX - but at a certain point you're just trading away too much, and I think this product is on the wrong side of that point.

  • qiqies, you would not believe how much reliance military places on GPS technology now days. I agree the compass and maps still works but why not use the technology available to us. I am just saying Suunto shouldn't falsely advertise or embellish product capability that's all.

  • @elee325

if you're in the military you should not be relying on gps to navigate, you need to learn how to do it the old fashion way.

  • Its a real pure video with ugly sound.

  • I love the watch. Battery suck when you use the GPS for long periods of time but its been great to have home and afghanistan!

  • the display sucks completely in bright sunshine. crap watch. any walt disney mickey mouse watch is better to read.

  • Do somthing like make a video on how to use it....WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

  • Considering this watch is $500 the navigation sucks. It was a waste of money...

  • One word ...
