This is a review of the latest badminton racket from Yonex, the Yonex Voltric 70. We handed over this racket to our racket sports manager Andy Hartley, who thoroughly play tested the Voltric 70 for 2 weeks, comparing it with its predecessor the Yonex Amortec 700 and the Li-Ning Woods N90. Andy has a wealth of experience as a badminton coach and was employed by Yonex as a Racket Adviser for 7 years before joining MauriceRobinsonSports.com. As the review shows Andy was very impressed with the Voltric 70.

  • Hi Thanks for your comments. The best racket for you will be the Voltric 70. The Voltric 80 is more like the Arm Power 900.

  • Hi, Andy thinks that the Voltric 70 will be ideally suited to you. It will give you that extra help defending but you will still be able to generate lots of power.

  • hi, for what kind of players would you recommend the voltric 80?

  • @davidpxn We have a review of the Yonex voltric 80 coming soon. I would recommend it for aggressive players with a fast arm speed. The racket rewards smashing, however if your arm speed is not fast enough you could find yourself on the back foot during points.

  • hi, i need a new racket but i don't know if i should buy arcsaber 10 or voltric 70. I'm more a defensive/offensive player and i have averige wrist power. Could you help me?

  • @davidpxn the arcsaber 10 and voltric 70 are very different frames. The Arcsaber 10 is only suitable if you have a fast arm speed. If you are not confident your arm speed is fast enough I would try the Voltric 70. The 70 is surprisingly manoeuvrable for a head heavy badminton racket.

  • Hello there, nice review!!

The only minus i can give is the shorter grip than the older armortecs....

My favorite racket is the armortec 900 technique, do you which voltric replaces my racket the best or do you think there will be a voltric 90 maybe??

  • I've tried AT700 3U and felt it quite heavy for me, can u please recommend for me a racket with stiffness about 7/10 (1 for super flexible - 10 for super stiff), head heavy balance, and weight just like this Voltric 70 4U (in this video)... my friend told me that kind of rackets like i said are : Lining N90 Woods, Victor Metoer X 70, Victor Brave Sword 11, AT700 4U... I still dont have chances to try them yet...

  • Hello Maurice, I play with armortec 700 and was thinking about changing to a voltric 70 or a arcsaber 10.i'm one offensive player and playing very fast. I also think that armortec not giving me too much motion to defend and would need some assistance in this area to easily defend shots. I have to take into consideration that i play with a grip g4 and arcsaber would equal grip, but only voltric can arrange in g3- u2 ,but i do not know if involved in any area like the power of the smashes. thanks

  • How can you be more a defensive/offence player - that makes you an all-round player!

  • @MauriceRobinsonSport Thanks, I appreciate that.
