Well based on my own experience, which probably changes my view on things in this film. I'd say that he resembles her feeling about not feeling well in her body, about being imprisoned (that's why she starts stalking about that prison stuff). Like... the guy resembles her feeling about not fitting in her own body. It's kinda difficult to explain, and I'd have to see the film a few more times to completely understand it (this is the first time I'm watching it). Just love it so far, it's beautiful

he is not really a guy dressed up as a woman.

the movie takes place in her mind. so i guess she sees her counsler as a very queer type of person.

i think that tracey sees him as a joke, and nothing says "don't take me seriously" like an indifferent man like that dressing in drag. ...if that's not the case, i'm not sure why. that's just how i see it. haha.
