Einstein genuis theory of food supply and consumption.
If humans and herbi animals eat only plants, as the population multiply, we will deplete the food source (plants)
Among animals it's better to eat carnivores(dog) than herbivores since by eliminating fellow predators we are preserving the source of prey animals and we will have enough food supply without depleting Plants.
Between Herbivores animals and plants it's better to eat Hervibores animals since it saves the source/plants.

@mrfurrylover animal cruelty is another issue. A blanket dog eating ban is not the answer. We have to respect other culture. Just because the poor cow is not lovable in the eyes of the white man doesn't mean it's a lesser animal than dogs. It's a matter of choice which animal you want to plow your field and which you want to eat. Filipino Senators are corrupt.

@mrfurrylover "The more it suffers the better it taste" is a Western Propaganda. Dog processing in the Philippines reflect the available tools of the locality keeping in mind human safety over animal welfare. If you look at US slaughter houses many cows and pigs arrive their with missing paws, despite efforts, hurting the animal is unavoidable.
But that's not the main issue here but PETA SIRUS etc. arrogantly forced to change Filipino culture simply because it's inconsistent with their own.

@kim29223 Whilst I respect you & your culture & agree you should not be anyones slave I cannot agree with your treatment of these animals. I agree there is in my eyes no different in eating a dog to say a cow or pig but it is the way these animals are raised & killed that I have a problem with. Do you not teach the more the animal suffers the nicer it tastes? You of course no this is wrong? No animal deserves to suffer & just because something is tradition doesn't make it right

I am a Filipino. I eat dog meat. I don't bow to US/Western bullying and I stand proud of my culture. Since the days of the Majapahit Empire Filipinos along with Cambodians, Laotians, Indonesian etc eat dog meat.
Hindus believe cows are holy and not food but they are civilized enough to keep it within their territory. But US/Westerners are forcing us to criminalize dog eating. We have to resist and teach them that our culture are equal and not inferior to theirs. We are not their slaves anymore.

@kalagoyu2 Screw your gaping ashole bitch. I'm filipino and I have a dog who's like part of family. And surprise2x... A LOT OF US ACTUALLY DON'T EAT DOGS IDIOT. Only those who are very desperate in poor areas do eat them when there's no other choice. If it's anyone's fault it's the government and catholic church that condones family planning. I bet you eat COW and PIG to survive...SO BY YOUR LOGIC YOU ARE CLUELESS AS WELL! HYPOCRITE! And so are the 3 ignorant fools who thumbs you up!

We have to respect other country and their customs. Filipinos have their own identity and culture. We cannot force them to make the same choices that we do. Some Filipinos follow us, pet their dogs and don't eat them, so let them be. Some Filipinos follow their culture and eat dog meat, so let them be too. This law criminalizing those who eat dog is violation of equality.
