Tessie our wonderful Carolina Dog has passed away and we miss her so much words can not express the sorrow in our hearts. She was beautiful, smart, and so full of grace. We took her everywhere and we feel lucky to have had her in our lives. This is a sample of her photos and the music of Wendy Waldman's Mr. Boatman seems right.
We wish we could see our baby once more.

  • Yes, it is heartbreaking and it made me sob as well, but what a beautiful and fitting tribute.

  • @delago10 thank you and although we miss Tess so much, we also hate not having a baby in our home, so today we are on our way to adopt a rescue Carolina dog/Shiba Inu mix coming on a transport from Kentucky. she was a victim of the Nashville floods. We will never forget our Tess, but hopefully, we can give our hearts to a little one in need.

  • Your video made me sob. Tess looks so much like my Syntax, and I simply cannot bear something happening to her. We've had her since before she even had most of her baby teeth in, she's so close to my heart. I'm so sorry you had to lose Tess, Carolina Dogs are so much different than other dogs. Age comes for us all though. I wish that they lived longer lives.

  • @AmberGotLost

Thank you for watching our tribute to our beloved Tess. We just passed 6 weeks since we have been without her. Somedays we miss her so much more and this one of those days. She was always a clean girl and even at the end she smelled like fresh air. Enjoy your life with your Syntax.

  • The days go on and the sun comes out, but nothing is as it was. How long will we wait for this emptiness to go away? Even believing in God and knowing we will see our Tessie again, still does not help for the present. We miss our girl so much.

  • The older I get, almost 60, the more I realize that each and every exchange is precious. Time will not reverse, so it is critical to seize the moment and appreciate it. We rescued a little guy who is now a hub of our family. Thank you very much for your response, and your addition of a thread in the weave of my life.

  • @rookedpawn Yes I agree the older we get I am too almost 60 and each connection with another person who shares the same compassion about beings like animals is important. I feel like animals are so much purer and better than us. Their love for us does not change and grows stronger as they age. If only their life spans were longer...........Take care of your little guy.

  • I understand the loss of losing a loved one, but thank god we have a chance to give the love we have to another who is in need. I have no doubt your new little one who probably has been through a lot of trauma will have a very happy and healing experience in your care, and bring you comfort as well. You have a big heart and a lot of love to give and receive.

Thank you for your reply. It makes me feel better that you'll have another loved one, and I know Tess is with you in spirit.

  • I miss my baby.

  • A beautiful dog and a wonderful song for an emotional and heartfelt tribute. I just posted a tribute here for my dog Lexus that we recently had to put down after 16 years. They ARE family, and their loss is so ever heartbreaking. My condolences to you and your family for your loss.
