I absolutely love the death animations in Fallout 1 and 2. These games surprised me when someone gets blown to bits and no matter how many times i've seen it, it still looks horrifyingly painful and satisfying (especially the Lieutenant and Frank Horrigan). In comparison, the Fallout 3 gore just looks so cartoony and fake with it's horrible ragdoll physics and gibs. A perfect example of how the advance in technology doesn't benefit gaming.

Nothing in the world was more satisfying than putting on your first suit of power armor. The way it entirely changed your character's look, modified the way some people spoke to you- it was great. Finding the BoS bunker by random and seeing these two super armored brutes just guarding a shed intimidated the hell out of me. As a kid I -had- to know what was in that damn place.

Playing Fallout 3 and making the BoS super-kawaii freedom fighting fantasy Paladins really soured my mood.

I'm at the point where I just got the powered armor from the Brotherhood, and the only things that can even touch me are Deathclaws(only if they crit) and Super Mutants(with rocket launchers). I can't even count how many times a Mutant with a minigun has opened up on me and my companions, and I've had to watch my teammates get turned into mulch while the barrage does absolutely nothing to me.

Powered armor is OP.

I love F2 graphics and isometric look and hexagons...

Back then games have CLIMAT. Now they don't add that to games...
