  • I don't think the robot element was a message about technological advancement. This robot's struggle to reach higher and higher levels of beauty was a story about our unrealistic perceptions of beauty. Perfect beauty is unattainable. The destruction of the robot's mechanisms describes the stress and pain we put on ourselves when outward image is more sought after than a healthy inner self.

  • yeah, what sleepyBROWNeyes28 said

its about wanting to be someone youre not

then you get so wrapped up in the fact that you want to be someone else, you do some stupid things and lose yourself

    its quite simple really :)

  • This is very sad. I feel so much sympathy for this animatron. :(

  • Forget the moral, symbolism and such stuff. If it was a 3d modelled face with animation that was made from a scratch, then I'm sincerely amused. Not so many people here would understand how HARD could it be to make and animate human face with such realistic level. Well, even if it was a montage of a real face, still a pretty well done. My overall impression: positive, but at the end of the video it feels somewhat... sad.

  • Yum, vague symbolism.

  • No no no... the moral of the story is...

DON'T try to be something you're not, or you will fall and break your face!

  • this is sad:(

  • Why doesn't this have 100,000 views?

  • @CocoMatova and @PetitePetrie are so right. beauty kills us all. the DOLLFACE proves it. and so do we.

  • the robot is born untouched, but is forced to got to more and more impossible lengths to become what is expected to be perfect beauty, symbolised by the tv moving further away from it's reach at every new development. the robot eventually ends up breaking itself by not looking after it's inner parts, much like what we do. we focus on outer beauty instead of internal health. it's kinda emphasised by the fact that we are positioned as the robot in the end by looking at the tv ourselves. so good!

  • This is the creepiest video ever. o.o..
