@bl709 I thought it was just seaweed. But I actually think you're right - it is a giant squid! Perhaps even The Kraken!

@luposlip Alright, alright; look, I'm intelligent enough to know that a giant squid (if they exist) wouldn't be laying back-side-down at Pier 39 in San Francisco, California. I was simply stating that the substance's uncanny shape and movement resembled that of a squid's.
