東京、群馬、栃木､会津、山形、宮城、福島､茨城では、できるだけ早く家､玄関、道路の清掃（水を使う。拭く）が有効。

運動場、スポーツ施設、ビルの屋上、学校の校庭、畑は可能な限り表土を薄く取り、どこかに積み上げてビニールをかぶせておく（放射性物質を拡散させない）。
