while exiting Gettysburg in a remote area of the battlegrounds, we were kind of shocked to see 2 men dressed as confederates just leaning on a fence. There was no reason for them to be right there, as there was no reenactments going on that day. We wondered why would these 2 be in an area where there was literally no one else around as it was getting dark.

I have visited Marston Moor a number of times, and although it's a beautiful area, it has a heavy, brooding atmosphere- not surprising after the dreadful events that took place there.

The Battle of Port Hudson; 1863 in Louisiana; for MANY years people living near the battlefield hear sounds of cannon and musket. I am a Vietnam Vet; and I will be buried there with my Brothers and Sisters; in the National Cemetery.
