There are so many great artist, songwriters, soloist,...in my life Ivan lins, stevie wonder, Milton, Elis. Miles....I am so gratefull to have had those special moments...ohh so special! peace and much love
This is one fo the most beautiful brazilian songs of all times. Ivan Lins is great and real Brazil's Music treasure! The correct name of this song is "Começar de Novo". Thank's for the post.
Dunno what illness you are speaking of but he never evidenced any problems and his voice was strong and he was in great form when I heard him at Yoshi's SF last Friday 9/2/11. He had the Mexican brothers rhythm section from Sacbe and his Uraguayan guitarist - names too hard to spell. Audience participation was a given. No criticism about this brilliant musician is necessary. He's a grandfather of 5 now and grayer and still has his mojo!
I love him. I love him. I love him.

@dshore9535 I do NOT criticise Ivan Lins. I absolutely like him. My comment was a reply to someone else's criticism. Cheers
