Let me get this straight. Your thought process concludes that since the owners are making a profit we should NOT use Good Search. We should deny (by refusing to use this service) donations to food banks, schools, and animal shelters because someone in an fancy office is making money!?!

I applaud the owners of this company. Just think, if all businesses donated 1/2 their revenues to charity what a much better place the USA would be.

GoodSearch donates 50% of its revenues to charity, and has donated roughly $9 million in the last seven years. That means that the other 50% (over $1 million per year) has gone to its owners. The costs to run a site like this, which is basically just a pretty portal to Yahoo search, are very low (less than $150k/year, I'd estimate). So, a huge amount of the site's revenue is going straight into the pockets of its founders, making them even richer than they already are.
