La Novicia, que mi profe Maude Orton me enseñó .fue algo inolvidable..la belleza del Lied. con una fuerza dramática y dulzura interpretativa, fué GENIAL

Powerful stuff, brilliant, Janet Baker is majestic. Murray sounds just right to me,although I don`t play piano
-
Superb performance of one of my favorite songs.

Having struggled with this wretched but wonderful song many times, I am full of admiration for the wonderful Dame Janet. If only I could sing like her (sigh)

God I love schubert.

She is amazing.
The only thing I noticed a couple of times was her tounge kinda getting in the way.

I already commented on this clip before, don't know if a second comment is allowed.. but there is NO other rendering of this song that is so expressive, so well-felt. It is unsurpassed with an unusual dulcet tone when asked for. Ms Ameling can't hold a candle to what Ms Baker is showing is here, with splendid support by Mr Perahia.

this woman is incredible... Is expresive but keeps the elegant escence of "lieder"genre.

one of the greatest singers! this is a exemplary performance. listen to her last "Alleluja" .. and a very strong, supporting accompaniment by Murray Perahia!
