  • if you are 2 months practicing bjj you shall be aware of ankle picks and if you have a bit more of experience and body sensitivity you are going to use it at your favor... the solution for ankle pick sweep is to thrust your hips forward against his while pulling his hips upwards with your grips, in the case you don't have any of his arms controlled. Good luck

  • @cesarrezek It's pretty much a necessity to control one sleeve before and while standing up in someone's guard, though, which this guy didn't do. That's what I meant. If the person on the bottom has two free hands, it makes the sweep so much easier.

  • @pyro5178 you are right to a certain extent, however, having both hands free gives the option for a ankle pick sweep which is easily defendable controling your opponents hips, making this way an excellent opportunity for passing the guard as they have to open the guard to sweep.
