I have the 10 gallon kit, what do I need to make it saltwater??
-
@zamzamirrazi dont do that. do you know whats actually in the water and sand now a days? buy reef crystals and live sand, make your own saltwater. wait until your water parameters are stable and you have no ammonia or nitrates. (about 4-6 weeks) 10 gallons is very small, I would recommend 20gallons, at least, cause nanos are a lot of work. I sure hope that you didnt use your sea water and beach sand..

local pet stores sell salt water by the gallon for about 69 cents a gallon

@z you might not want to add sand from your local beach. If you're going for a reef a Aquarium buy live reef sand from your lfs a 20lbs bag will run for about 20$ and as for the water I don't recommend you use the one from your beach if you do, you might want to filter it for a few good weeks and then run some water test thru. Add your first clown when you have nitrate 0ppm nitrites 0ppm ammonia 0ppm and your p.h ranging from 8.0 to 8.3 good luck!

I love how you layed out the live rock, just nice tank all around :]
To be honest it was a personal challenge to see if I could maintain such a delicate aquarium. which i succedded in but strongly suggest a larger aquarium. My opinion, the bigger they are the easier they are to maintain.
but here is a list to get u started
seasalt, cylce, calcium, live sand, about 10-15 lbs of live rock, hydrometer, and a good set off saltwter lights should get you going in the right direction... but there are many more things to learn buying a saltwater book is a good idea
