What is Psi Chi Omega?
Psi Chi Omega is an Asian-interest Fraternity that was brought into existence on January of 1992 by twenty-six ambitious young men. Since then, we have prided ourselves through our three pillars: Integrity, Perseverance, and Eternal Brotherhood. Our goal as a fraternity is to intertwine the best of both worlds. That is to progress and grow through academic excellence, while at the same time, making the best of our college years through social activities. The brotherhood that was born at UCSD has expanded to the campuses of UC Riverside, UC Davis and most recently, UC Santa Cruz. With the support of the brothers from all three chapters, the alumni, and sororities statewide, Psi Chi Omega provides the tools needed in building well-rounded men who will be prepared in entering the real world after college.

Psi Chi Omega is a unique Asian-interest brotherhood where we look not on your ethnicity, background, nor religion, but rather the brotherhood and dedication you can bring. Currently, we have 4 chapters within the UC System.


What do you do?
Psi Chi Omega is a social fraternity, which means we promote social activities with a multitude of people. Social activities involve brotherhood events, socials and exchanges (themed parties) with sororities, as well as community service. However, we do understand that we are in school for a reason, so we also hold weekly study hours; where the Brothers can study and get school work done while in good company.

How Do I Join?
To join, just come out and participate in RUSH. Rush is a one week event where we have daily activities you can come to. All rides/food/entertainment and beverages are free and provided by us. During rush you will get a chance to meet our brothers, and other students that are also considering joining our fraternity.

How much do you have to pay to join?
In Psi Chi Omega, we emphasize brotherhood amongst all. Therefore a price barrier should never dictate your decision to join. Our due's go directly to the food and drinks consumed at parties, gas to go on trips, price for lodging during trips, etc.


What is pledging?
Pledging is our program where you get a chance to really get to know your pledge brother's (students that are pledging with you). You will get a chance to participate in activities that will strengthen your bond with each other. Along with these activities you will get to pick a big bro and join into a family line. You will also participate in family activities such as family dinner and outings.

What if a frat just isn't the thing for me?
We are aware of the pre-misconceptions students have about fraternities due to what they hear and what the media portrays. Do not be alarmed by this as we have all have dealt with the stereotypes associated with Greek Life. All we ask is that you give us the benefit of the doubt and come to rush with an open mind. How can you judge something that you've yet to know anything about? After all, rush is completely free for all rushees and there are absolutely no obligations involved for attending rush events, so it would do no harm to come find out what we are all about and see if it is something you want to become a part of.


Why Psi Chi Omega?
Psi Chi Omega is not your typical Greek fraternity. We do not have hundreds of members nor do we have hundreds of chapters throughout the nation. Also, although we are an Asian-Interest Fraternity, we pride ourselves in our diversity. We have members of all different ethnicities and do not discriminate based on nationality whatsoever. Looking at our three pillars, eternal brotherhood is the pillar we value the most. In the early days of Psi Chi Omega, we had the opportunity to expand into several chapters and become one of these typical fraternities. However, we wanted to have close ties with our other chapters and knew that would not be possible if there were too many built. Our goal was met as our four chapters stay closely bonded, and alumni stay supportive of our organization. Being a part of the fraternity creates not only a social but also a business network to ensure your success both as a student and as a businessman in the future. Most importantly, every brother knows that he has attained a brotherhood stronger than any other, and for that, we pride ourselves as Psi Chi Omega. There is much more to Psi Chi Omega that words will not do justice to. So come out to rush, see who we are with your own eyes, and ask all the questions that you may have. See you at rush week!
