@weedissafer Firstly, the vast majority of these engines were designed to be mounted and run stationary. They ran things like generators, pumps, compressors and the like. Secondly, this is history. This engine, and others like it, paved the way for the modern way of life you take for granted. It's a damn good thing people preserve them, it'd be a shame to melt this down and make some priuses. Lastly, if you don't like watching old engines run, don't fucking watch old engines run!

The 'Industrial Revolution' made life so easy that humans could have more to eat than they could ever possibly produce on their own. Resulted in the Population Explosion of over seven times in magnitude. The 'fat' population. All within less than 200 years. Industrial Revolution also gave birth to 'The Dependency Addicted Generation' that is ever more demanding and causing all of the problems today..

It ran a lot of irrigation lines at one time! It could really move some water out to the fields! It was used here in Southern Oregon back in the day and was moved out Eastern Oregon until it made it back to Southern Oregon a few years back! It is now located at Pottsville, Oregon (Southern Oregon) at the Museum!
