This is a simple tutorial that kind of expands from my earlier tutorial. This time it tracks npcs and other players!

Ranger - Make sure it does not hit world
Becon Sensor - Split X,Y,Z must be on!

My turret just spins rapidly out of control, and wont quit shooting, i did excactly as u did, HELP!!!

@TheDomantas If you mean your turrent keeps turning the wrong way, you need to reverse the wheel direction and it will face the right way. You may have figured that out after 2 months tho... :/

@Valdiralita Went back and tested it, and yes adv. Duplicator does save anything done with the Weight Stool, also found out that things like the Unbreakable Stool don't work with adv dup though... :( Don't know what else does/doesn't work but I'll keep testing.

I've made many variations of auto tracking turrets in gmod, but I always run into this one bloody problem where the wiremod wheel is too lanky and loose when I finish assembling the whole thing, so when it spins it gets all out-of-whack. Is there anyway to get a tighter constraint without ajusting the wheel weight (which does fix the prob but adv dupe doesn't save custom weights). Would appreciate reply.

@bmwright I haven't played gmod in years... but the only way I've fixed that problem is by making more welds (instead of welding object A to B, weld object A to B C D E F G....), and by adjusting the weight. It's an annoying problem that ruins 70% of the things I try to build.

do you know if you can save and or load individual creations? because i don't think i'm going to get this if you can't.

@PsycoMantis9 Yes you can with the "advanced duplication" tool. Most servers have it, and you can download it from garrysmod(dot)org

@Whalecake Yeah I don't think the SVN existed when I commented about it, or I didn't know about it. I'm just getting back into GMod now after a few years off... can't find a working phx download.. any ideas?
