Nassau was the first original composition recorded by the Dixieland Crackerjacks. This was back in 2001 on the CD : St. James In Germany with Lutz Eikelmann on the sousaphone.
In 2005 it was again recorded on the CD : The Caribbean Suite. In this instance the first record the band made with bass saxophone.

Nassau is part 1 of the Caribbean Suite and dedicated to the Capital of the Bahamas. Composer Bert Brandsma visited this place in 1996.
