As much as you feel bad for him, it's the nature of having (any kind of) a career. I mean, I'm a grad student and I haven't even set foot in my home country for almost 2 years. I really feel bad for people who have a spouse and children... that's when this lifestyle becomes difficult. But having spent about half of the past decade outside of the U.S., I can say it really gets old fast...

Robert Pattinson doesn’t go to circuses because he had a traumatic experience while attending one as a child. On the Today show, Pattinson recently revealed the source of his fear to host Matt Lauer: “The first time I went to see the circus, one of the clowns died. His little car exploded on him. Everybody ran out, it was terrifying. It was the only time I’ve ever been to the circus.” That sounds awful. This just goes to show that death is never funny...even when it involves a clown.

@lilkittycrazie I agree. I have the impression Rob has very secure family relationships. He is well educated and confident, and, like any confident twentysomething, he wants to get out into the world and experience as much as possible. He has been give a hell of a break with landing Twilight and he appreciates that and is totally taking advantage of it. I don't think he misses living in his own in Soho anymore [he moved out the family home after getting paid for Harry Potter].
