It came from Stanley Kubrick's film " 2001 A Space Oddyssee" when Dave, the austronaut disconnected HAL ,the central computer.

Some artists nail lyrics. Some chords. Beck or Stevie Ray or Clapton nail notes.

Mr Waters nails society.

I listen to the lyrics over and over pondering. They transcend policitcs, country.

The best part is- he doesn't BLAME anyone. Like this was our destiny. Or maybe a waypoint.

I love his music. Fill in the gaps and there is a lot of meaning here, and I haven't even found it all..

Very very good, however I tend to like Gilmour more. This one is still a beautiful piece of music and I can listen to it again and again.
