Talking about going to see the Lord of the Rings trilogy in the cinema 2001-2003.

Will there ever be a period of anticipation like it? I guess Star wars IV-VI was a similar period, possibly I-III but that was way overshadowed by LOTR. Jonneke reminded me about the Harry Potter series which of course is still in play.

What do you think?

  • Takes me back to the first time I saw Fellowship of the Ring.

After the movie, my friends and i were standing outside the cinema. No-one wanted to be the first to say anything, seemingly. There was a long pause. Then my mate Jamie said,

"Well, I don't think GOD could have made a better movie."

    LAFFS!

  • good times man, some films really have a big mark on ones life. I had that seeing Jurassic park, Lion King and Forest Gump, interestingly on the same year.

    how odd...

  • I loved those movies so much... it was the only time ever that I thought the movies were better than the books (no offense, I loved the books, but they were a little too slow sometimes)

And I can't wait for the movie of the Hobbit, it's such an awesome story

I had the same feeling with the harry potter books too ^__^

  • The reason people most often like book better is due to the many more hours of interacting with it, ll though it's safe to say that the films are almost as long as the time for reading them :)

  • Great video! I dont like people talking in the movies either or texting thats the most annoying!

    Nice effect on your shirt!

  • the level of irritation differs depending on the type of film but yeah, seeing that cell phone light is no bueno. Front-row it is then!!

  • Cool story.

  • I had the same feeling. I was still young, so the impact was extra extra large. Didn't want the trilogy to end.

  • Good news for you!

The Hobbit will come to the silver screen in 2010. It will be directed by Guillermo Del Toro
