Is it possible to make a well known foamy jet like the Twister exciting enough for your experienced EDF pilot. I think so. And here's a demonstration of a power system that shows how good the Hoffman Magnetics motors are.
1.7KW, 55.5K RPM, 110A-140A on 4S5000 30C lipo and HET 3 blade fan.
More soon...
Nice vid. What i like about the twister is how realistic it looks in the air; just pause the vid in fly by and you see what i mean. BTW what is the AUW and how do you get cog with those 4s 5000.

800mah battery in the side of the stab and lead under the tail!

does the voltage sag pretty quick?

You gotta have very good lipos. I use 4S5000 (35C). A little heavy but the additional capacity means they can easily cope with the amp draw. Bit heavy for a 70mm fan size model though. I would go 4S4000 (35C) next time.

wow that is ridiculous amp consumption. how long does it last?

3-4 minutes, which is long enough flying that type of model. ;>)
