Is it possible to make a well known foamy jet like the Twister exciting enough for your experienced EDF pilot. I think so. And here's a demonstration of a power system that shows how good the Hoffman Magnetics motors are.

1.7KW, 55.5K RPM, 110A-140A on 4S5000 30C lipo and HET 3 blade fan.

  • Nice vid. What i like about the twister is how realistic it looks in the air; just pause the vid in fly by and you see what i mean. BTW what is the AUW and how do you get cog with those 4s 5000.

  • 800mah battery in the side of the stab and lead under the tail!

  • does the voltage sag pretty quick?

  • You gotta have very good lipos. I use 4S5000 (35C). A little heavy but the additional capacity means they can easily cope with the amp draw. Bit heavy for a 70mm fan size model though. I would go 4S4000 (35C) next time.

  • wow that is ridiculous amp consumption. how long does it last?

  • 3-4 minutes, which is long enough flying that type of model. ;>)
