All recycled materials, including how to make the wooden pulleys. Cheap and cheerful engineering in the practical use of recycled untreated pallet and fruit crate wood to make a pulley creel/airer/dryer. Detailed, step-by-step images and explanation. Great for drying washing, herbs, flowers and chillies above a woodburner or heat source.

  • @doctorjoey3 Thanks for your comment. For the greater weight of the kayak I would suggest you beef up the diameter of the pulley axles to 12mm (1/2") wood dowel or, alternatively use 6mm (1/4") or bigger steel bolts. Also if you do use wooden axles lubricate them with a little candle wax to ensure free running.

    Good luck.

  • @aquaphoenix831 Thanks for your comment, glad you like it. If you need any more hints/advice on how to make it don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Best Wishes, Andy.

  • I'm thinking a pulley system for hanging my kayak...simple

  • Been thinking about how to make one of these...thanks!! :) Fabulous design!!!

  • @dalecalder2003 Thanks for your comment - as for mass production, I'm hoping more for 'mass manufacture' (made by everyone, for their own use). Looking at your hoop house I'm sure you'd be able to make one. As a matter of fact you could rig one up in it as extra space for seed trays - go to it!

  • Very nice well done, now mass produce them and sell me one lol.
