I got the being negative part down just fine. We all know that being negative all of the time can be damaging. However.. The Secret takes it one step further. If bad things happen to you period! It's all your fault. That's straight bullocks.

Actually, Abraham-Hicks says that the baby really DOES attract the fire! Abraham-Hicks is a fundamental resource behind "the Secret." Abraham-Hicks' justification? -- Parental ESP transferring thoughts to the baby. I kid you not.

It's a pretty screwed up philosophy. But the Hicks' themselves don't have to stand behind anything Abraham says. After all, Abraham is 'channelled'

I'd tell you to buy the tapes, and listen to them, but borrow them instead!

I'm all for the power of positive thinking and it is easy to see how positive or negative thinking impacts our lives. But when you try to repackage the idea of positive thinking and suggest that you can explain why it works in terms of theoretical physics when your only accomplishment in life has been chanelling or transcribing the messages of some unseen being named Abraham ... well, you have lost me.

This critique works for the bogus believe in "karma" as well. In the Eastern version, people reincarnate as poor people, or even animals, because of their actions in past lives.

Didn't the secret say there are other laws at work? The law of attraction is not the ONLY law.

Yea a baby doesn't a attract a house catching on fire and burning it alive. I am not sure anyone would say that...Though your belief system would come into play there, whether you believe in Karma, an afterlife et cetera...But I know positive thinking works, this video isn't really going to convince me otherwise because it's worked for me. There is nothing wrong with having a positive look on life.

Could you mathematically explain quantum mechanics (QM)? even further, could you explain your thoughts in strict QM equations? I bet not. I bet you don't know what you are talking about either. Before QM we had only Newtonian mechanics (NM). NM work at a different matter level than QM. And for that matter people who talk about scientific proof are unable to describe the scientific method with accuracy. They are attracting to be duped
