this man is perfect...takes my breath away.

My parents are proud of me because I don't have to be a straight republican to make them proud. My parents and I have morals and standards. They're just not YOUR morals and standards. Your probably talking about your supposed 'christian morals and standards', but Christians are the biggest fucking hypocrites in the world. Do you really believe that if Jesus was alive today he would be a gun toting Republican trying to keep gays from getting married? If you do then your your totallly dilusional.

Wow, what does this man's sexuality have to do with this video? Just enjoy the song!

@mtcammack i like how you have handled this comment thread very smoothly and expressed a very reasonable and logical opinion, you are probably the first christian ive ever seen to keep it a discussion instead of an argument, although i kind of agree with choupinou69 in the part where they dont have to ACT upon it, i respect them for having their own opinions but as i was brought up, it is wrong to alter someone elses life for your own sake.

@bilardg i agree!

Everything you have been saying is very reasonable, and a rational an open mind, not an over-sensitive reactionary closed mind, would have to acknowledge you are correct. If it is essential to a religious system that you believe a certain behavior is immoral, it cannot be "judgmental" for you to hold that belief; rather, it is simply the necessary consequence of holding to the religious system. What he does with that belief, however loving or hateful is the measure of the man.

well, i just went through and read everything you guys said, and from my point of view, you keep bringing in things that aren't relevant... sorry to kill the mood or what ever but i think you all need to chill a little.. and just to let you know, don't judge anything before you know the whole story! See my parents raised me in the church and stuff and they are SUPER christian! but im not at all, i don't believe in god, but i dont judge them, its their choice and i respect that.

@mtcammack well my friend you can count it as been counted. :)

@raycapslock No one should HATE homosexuals, and I hope I never conveyed that. I don't hate homosexuals at all. I have many friends who are gay. They know I am against it (not against them) and I know they are against me being against it....and we are still friends. God is a God of Love. And there are reasons He gives us commandments, prophets, scriptures, etc. It doesn't mean we have to live sheltered, boring lives, but it does mean we shouldn't do anything we want (e.g. homosexuality).

@HobbitTeaLeaf You are right, it has nothing to with the song. I love this song - particularly performed by this man. I just got reading through the comments when I viewed the song and felt I should voice my opinion about what was being said.
Very few Christians are gun-toting hypocrites. Don't go name-calling and pointing your finger. Christians believe homosexuality is morally wrong and have the right to act accordingly. Just because homosexuals often loudly voice their opinions and beliefs doesn't mean those who are against it have to sit back and watch. Label them as "Christian", "close-minded", "hypocrites", or even "delusional", but if you have the right to think homosexuality is ok, they have the right to oppose it.

@mtcammack "Christians believe homosexuality is morally wrong and have the right to act accordingly". You meant "SOME Christians believe homosexuality is morally wrong". And they have to right to keep their opinion to themselves, NOT act accordingly. That was a very stupid and dangerous comment.
